Meet Zofia Radzikowska, a Holocaust survivor

While visiting Jewish Community Centre (JCC) in Krakow, you will have the privilege of meeting a Holocaust survivor, dr Zofia Radzikowska. Here you'll get a chance to discover Polish-Jewish history, through the lens of her fascinating life story.

From fake papers that saved her life, to her education at the Hebrew School in Krakow, where Zofia learned about Judaism for the first time. To receiving her Ph.D. in law from the Jagiellonian University, and her involvement in Solidarność ("Solidarity," Poland’s first independent self-governing labor union).

After the fall of Communism, Zofia became a member of the Children of the Holocaust Association, the Israel-Poland Friendship Association, and the Jewish Social and Cultural Association in Poland.

As JCC Krakow's most active member, Zofia is the editor-in-chief of our magazine “Jesteśmy,” the author of the weekly YouTube series “What’s the Parsha, Pani Zosia?” and a singer in the JCC choir. Her contribution to the Christian-Jewish dialogue has been recognized with a Fr. Stanislaw Musial SJ Award.
